Kiss Goblin 키스요괴 | Review

Just before the year ends, let's try to complete this drama review!

I don't think I've written a review a web drama before. Maybe I have some years ago but not recently. I found out about this drama from Facebook, they usually share those short clips from the interesting parts enticing people to watch the drama. Well, guess what? It worked! I wanted to find out what happens next.

Go Go Squid 亲爱的, 热爱的 | Review

There are many drama reviews waiting for me to complete writing! I have been watching lots of dramas lately but haven't had the time to complete a drama review. All these reviews just piles up if I don't begin writing them.

So without further ado, let's discuss this Chinese drama, "Go Go Squid!"

I heard some of my friends talking about this drama when it was first airing but I only started watching it when it came out of Netflix. Although I can understand Chinese but I still prefer to have English subtitles to support me LOL.

BTS Dynamite | Review

I don't think I have written a song review for a BTS song before. I guess I pretty much stopped fangirling any particular group as work got busier over the years. I do still listen to Kpop songs based on their popularity and keep myself updated with Kpop related news but I don't have the energy or time to go back to being a fangirl just like before.

So if I do come across any songs that are nice, I would write a short review here and share it with anyone who's interested! This is probably my current method of being a fangirl LOL. I've received some song recommendations on Twitter some time ago, I'll find the time to check those out :)

Without further ado, let's talk about BTS' latest song Dynamite!

SHINee Colorful | Review

Wanted to write this song review to commemorate SHINee's anniversary on 25th May but ended up dragging it out and going WAY past the date. Nonetheless, I will still write this post and dedicate it to SHINee!

I think I've loved most songs that SHINee released. I definitely love this song. If I'm not wrong, Colorful is a song dedicated to their fans.

Adjusting to the Covid-19 Situation

Hope everyone is staying safe amidst the whole Covid-19 situation that's happening around the world. I'm sure every country is coping with it differently but I hope that everyone's safe and healthy thus far :)

I have the feeling that this virus won't be cleared for awhile or at least until they come up with a vaccine and everyone will just have to adjust with living with it around us. Here are some ways that we have been adapting. It may not be the same for everyone but just sharing my reflections on the experience up till now.

Wearing Masks
It has been mandatory to put masks on when you leave the house since the start of Circuit Breaker and it did take awhile to get used to. We'd like get ready to leave the house but not take our masks and have to come back in the house to take one. Since then I think most of us have gotten used to it. I feel it's the wearing of masks that are keeping the Covid-19 cases low in the recent months.

Although I must say... "Maskne" is real! I think those who can't work from home and have to wear masks for long periods of time may have developed pimples around the area where the masks covers. It's something I'm still dealing with. If anyone has any tips or any suggested products to use on dealing with "Maskne", do let me know!

Not socialising the same
Since entering into Phase 2, we are allowed to eat out and meet up with friends but of course with social distancing rules in place. So no more than 5 people in a group and restaurants tend to have different seating arrangements where everyone is seated 1m away from each other.

But even then, it's quite worrying when you head out in to a crowded place. Only recently I've noticed the crowds outside are somewhat returning to normal. Malls in town were pretty crowded when we went out a few weeks ago. We still have to scan to check-in and have our temperatures taken before entering any place and to be honest, it's something that I still need time to get used to. A few times I had to whip my phone out at the last moment to scan the QR code and hold up the queue a little bit.

These days people are heading out a lot more. It's pretty much the same except there's a lot more planning before arranging to meet up with friends.

Falling sick + Paranoia
Usually when we are a little sick, we still go out or go to work as per normal. It was totally fine to be at work with a slight runny nose or cough but now even with the slightest sore throat or just any sign of feeling unwell, I would think twice about leaving the house. I would worry more too that my cough or runny nose is a symptom of Covid-19. Just being paranoid and anxious itself can be quite unhealthy and cause you to feel worse.

Not only that, it's quite tedious falling sick now. If you have flu like symptoms, you are required to undergo the Covid-19 nose swab test and during the duration of your medical leave you cannot leave the house. It may also affect the people that are living with you as you wouldn't know what the results might be. Thankfully though, the cases in the recent days have been reduced and we may be moving towards Phase 3? Fingers crossed.

-----

Especially during this time, I find that it's all the more important to rely on each other and be more gracious to the people around you. Everyone is going through a difficult or challenging time so who knows you might just make someone's day if you extend some kindness to them :)

Let's hope for better times ahead, be kind and stay safe everyone!

April Skin Real Calendula Peel Off Pack | Review

It's been a while since I've tried new beauty products! Received this product for Christmas and finally had the chance to test it out! April Skin has been promoting this product quite actively on Instagram as I've seen this product on my feed quite a few times. Most of the time it shows how well this product removes things stuck in your pores.

After testing this product out...

Find Yourself 下一站是幸福 | Review

When I first began on this drama, it had just finished airing so there were quite a few people and sites on my timeline talking about it. Being a Kpop fan, I wanted to check it out since Victoria was the female lead of this drama. Let me know if you started on this drama because of Victoria too! :)

As you may already know, I don't usually watch dramas from the beginning, choosing to start either in the middle or towards the end. I may even drop the drama if it fails to sustain my interest. However, I started this drama from the beginning and it managed to keep me interested throughout all 41 episodes. Chinese dramas tend to have more episodes huh.

Warning: This post will contain spoilers so if you have not watched the drama, you may not wish to continue reading.

Wanna One Twilight | Review

Lately, I've been very into Wanna One. I know, almost 3 years too late. It's alright... Probably would've spent lots of money on them if we had liked them 3 years ago. Think of it as being a cost-effective Kpop fan. But it's true I'm always late to the party :P

After listening to almost all the Wanna One songs, there's that one song that just sticks and continues to annoy you day and night. At first, it was Energetic but now it's this song.

Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency 꽃파당: 조선혼담공작소 | First Impression

Already halfway through the drama so I'm not sure if you could call it a first impression post but I'll just quickly write down my thoughts of this drama so far.

I started on this drama only because of Park Jihoon♥ I don't usually watch dramas that take place in the Joseon era or other historical dramas mostly because I don't like the killing and suspense.

So far, I quite like this drama and the plot actually seems quite solid. I'm not sure how it'll end but up till this episode I'm on it has been interesting! I mean if I made it to the halfway mark without dropping the drama, then it has a certain level of "interesting". Haha. Although my sisters tend to doubt my drama choices :/

It includes a variety of unexpected twists and turns which I hope can be resolved and addressed before the drama ends. At the middle mark, I can't really predict how it'll end so if you're looking for an unpredictable drama to watch then you could check this out!

Along with the serious plot, there are parts of comic relief... That's where Park Jihoon♥ comes in! I do think they mixed a little of the present day fashion items and turned it into something historical so it's actually quite funny. I must say (totally not biased) but he really portrayed his character well and he's quite a natural actor! I mean you can't expect anything less of a child actor right? :)

Off to continue this drama now~ Do check it out or if you've already watched it, let me know your thoughts! Take care and stay safe!

Love the Way You Are 身为个胖子 | Review

While the drama is still fresh in my mind, I shall attempt to complete this review. It's the latest drama that I've watched. It was recommended by my friend and finally decided to check it out.

So this drama sounded like it had quite a typical storyline which is didn't have high expectations for. It seemed like it would be a cliché typical drama but there were a few points that caught me by surprise. I'd say Chinese dramas are longer and have more episodes but they do cover quite a lot of details. It makes viewers happy and so far no open endings, unlike some K-dramas.

Warning: This post will contain spoilers so if you have not watched the drama, you may not wish to continue reading.

IU Love Poem | Review

I'm actually quite surprised that this song is a B-side track. I think it was mentioned that IU herself didn't realise that this song would be popular. It's actually a really good ballad song.

Produce X 101 Pretty Girl | Review

Always late to the party. I know this song has been out for some time and everyone already probably knows how awesome it is.

I chanced upon the song while watching those random play dance videos. Have been watching lots of random play dance videos, if you are interested to know the links, let me know.

So this song has been a constant earworm and had to listen to it on repeat for a few days to get it to stop playing in my head. I didn't follow the Produce X 101 series but somehow after listening to the song and watching the dance on RPD videos... I must say, it has really grown on me!

This is definitely a highly recommended song if you're into those slightly cutesy concepts. I don't really know why but I've been really quite addicted to this song so do check it out!! And the dance too.

Put Your Head On My Shoulder 致我们暖暖的小时光 | Review

Netflix has been adding quite a few Asian dramas aside from Korean dramas. Recently, I've watched quite a few of new dramas that aren’t K-dramas and found them not too bad. This was one of the first few Chinese dramas that I've watched.

Clips from this drama were actually being shared on social media so that made me want to check it out. It looked cute and quite light-hearted.

NCT Dream We Young | Review

Chanced upon this song while watching some random dance videos on Youtube. The video was featuring dance moves that are difficult to accomplish even for dancers. Went to search for the song and have been quite liking the song since.

Lovelyz Cameo | Review

Another B-Side track that I’ve been listening to lately. First heard this song while watching Queendom and I have to say, Lovelyz has done quite a good job changing the original song up.

Korea | SeoulFidtastic 2017 | Travelog

Here's another travel post! In 2017 we travelled to the land of kimchi... It's a very delayed post (almost 3 years late) but without further ado, here's what we did in...

Korea! 🇰🇷

We were there for 8 days this time and unfortunately, I didn't take many photos. I have never been the type to take many photos on trips but this time, I've taken more photos than usual. I'm just not used to snapping every moment but rather live and enjoy the moment.

I'll be just picking out some highlights to share! Who knows how long it'll take me to finish writing this post or when it'll be published.

Mamamoo Ten Nights | Review

As most of you might already know, I'm a huge fan of Mamamoo! It's not really surprising as I like groups that have strong vocal capabilities.

In the song Ten Nights, they get to showcase just that...

Romantic Doctor Kim 2 낭만닥터 김사부 2 | First Impression

Another first impression of drama that’s currently airing. Romantic Dr Kim 2! I’m sure many people are watching this drama too even though it’s not completed. I completed 10 episodes in 2 days so these are my thoughts of the drama so far.

Red Velvet In and Out | Review

Featuring songs that are B-Side tracks, which are mainly songs that aren't the title track and as such aren't promoted as much. Many of these songs are really good but not featured or listened to just because they are not the title tracks of the albums.

So here's the first B-side track that caught my attention and it's a really catchy one!

Cinderella and the Four Knights 신데렐라와 네 명의 기사 | Review

This drama has finally made it to Netflix and I must say, I’ve been enjoying the sudden addition of many Korean dramas on Netflix. Gone are the days where we’d have to wait for episodes to load or for people to upload them in HD.

Warning: This post will contain spoilers so if you have not watched the drama, you may not wish to continue reading.

Crash Landing On You 사랑의 불시착 | First Impression

So I’m writing this as I wait for the latest episode of “Crash Landing on You” to air on Netflix.

Here are my first impressions of this drama.
