Sister's graduation ❤

It's my younger sister's graduation today!

I'm waiting at the hairdresser for her to get her hair done. So I decided to blog since I've my tablet with me. Hehe.

The ceremony is later in the afternoon and it'll be nice to watch my sister walk on stage to receive her diploma! I know she's worked hard for it and she's definitely done well! Even though she always picks on me and critisizes me for whatever I do, we are all proud of her achievements! Of course, I wouldn't be able to compare myself with her - a teacher versus a lawyer - but I hope she won't forget this older sister when she's rich ane successful. Hahaha.

We were just joking the other day when I went to sign my contract, like I mentioned in my other post that I would not speak until I have my lawyer present. Although I really hope that I'll never have to say that. Haha.

She'll be going to Manchester in the fall and she'll be studying law for three years. I know she'll do well and there's nothing to worry about! The only thing that I'm actually worried about is whether I'm able to get the stuff I want. I'll be sending her my shopping lists so... hehehe. Many people asked if I'll miss her. Hmm, I don't think I would. Hahaha. I'm going to be texting her and spamming her photos on snap chat so what's this distance when you have the Internet. Hohoho.

We'll be going to Korea for our graduation trip! Do keep a look out for the #LifeOfLiews and #fidventures and #franflies hahaha ^^

Update with pictures from the graduation ceremony!

Oh no! It's empty!

Hehehe graduated again?

Our dinner feast to celebrate! Yums!

Photos were mostly taken by my dad that day. So I didn't really have to do anything except be present. Hehehe. It'll be my turn on the 11th! Then it's Annyeong Korea!!

Saturday Outing ❤

Just a quick (and short) update!

Had a pretty eventful weekend! Since I didn't have Korean class on Saturday, I went with my sister to church early for the annual Awana outing. It was pretty good being with the kids and church people.

It was really really hot! But I'm sure the kids had fun playing the games and learnt about working together. Although I should have emphasized more on working together as a team and that it isn't about winning but the process. Hahaha. Shall do that next time ^^

I really think the Awana club is a really good ministry especially since the children coming don't have have to be from Sunday school so it's a really good opportunity to share the gospel with them. I used to help out in Awana but ever since I started university I stopped helping >< I'll see how. If time permits and if work doesn't stress me out, I'll go back to help.

What's an outing without photos right!

With Becky, Mel and my sister.

It was good seeing and talking to them again ^^

Though it was tiring, hot and energy consuming, it was a fun outing! I'm still having muscle aches from the intense tug of war session! Ouch >< I think when I start work, there will be more of such events to look forward too.

Etude House Color Lips-Fit ❤

Etude House Color Lips-Fit #PK003 Fantasy Fit Pink
This is one of the latest lip product from Etude House. I'm not sure exactly when it was released in Korea but I saw it in the stores here not very long ago. I'm always walking into Etude House and looking out for their new products. Hehehe.

My sister actually got this for me when they went to JB two weeks ago as there was some sort of sale there and of course things are cheaper there. I sent her the code for two shades and she ending up getting one of the two.

The packaging.

This is the how it's packaged and I really love Etude House's packaging. Yes, I'm a sucker for cute and pretty packaging.

This is the sponge tip applicator. I thought it was pretty unique that it's at an angle compared the other products I have where they have the straight sponge applicator. One thing to be careful though, the sponge part is rather thin and quite flimsy, so I have to be gentle when putting it back into the bottle. But the angled applicator does help in applying the product.

The product.

Description on the package: This is a revolutionary liquid type Lipstick that moistly glides onto lips with its vivid color and finishes off with a weightless powdery texture.
It comes in 0.35oz or 10g. I think that's a pretty decent amount of product and for this product, applying a little is more than enough. It does live up to the description and it has a matte powdery texture. I like how light it is and it feels like I don't have anything on my lips. It is also quite pigmented so I don't have to apply many coats. I usually apply one coat to be able to see the colour. However, if you like it to be more distinct, it is buildable.

On the downside, if you have dry lips (like I do), applying a lip balm or exfoliating your lips before applying this product would be a recommended step as the product would highlight the cracks and it does look unpleasant. And also I think that it's not as effective as compared to a lip stain. After eating, I would need to reapply and the colour isn't much visible.

Would I buy this again?

I probably would. I like the finish and the colour. It isn't drying as well so it doesn't dry up my lips. If it weren't for the price, I would get another one in a darker shade. Maybe I would do just that in Korea hehehe.

Feeling 22 ❤

I don't know about you. I'm feeling 22!
Haven't had the time to blog recently since my birthday last week. Yes, I actually got out of the house last week! For an entire day even! Went to help out with the pre Boston camp for our juniors. And I can't really remember what I did after that. Oh dear...

Anyway, had my first birthday celebration with my grandparents on Sunday. It was an early celebration so I guess my grandma wanted to keep it a surprise but hahaha she mentioned that we had a cake left to eat after dinner and the surprise was out! It was super funny because apparently she told my mum to keep it a secret.

With that, do pardon my outfit in the following photos. My mum couldn't tell me to wear something nicer without spoiling the surprise so... plus I've no makeup on sighhh

Picture with the family and grandparents.

Sistas!

Another group picture! Where's my grandfather looking?

And this... Caught my sister singing, "Happy birthday Baekhyun" instead...

Yes, I share the same birthday as EXO's Baekhyun. Yes, we were born on the same day... Twins from another part of the world! I find it amusing and pretty cool! I mean like not everyday you get to have something in common with someone famous right. But of course, my sisters are trolls >:/

For my birthday dinner, we went for Korean BBQ!! Yums! We went to Jushinjung and it was really delicious! We had the buffet and we ate quite a lot! I'm wondering if it would be cheaper if we didn't go for the buffet and just had the meat. Maybe next time we shall try just ordering the meat.

My samgyupsal!

Family selfie!

And on Saturday after class, Vaneh surprised me with a sunflower and cake! 언니 최고다! Hehehe. Thank you!! Also thanks to the other 언니들 for celebrating with me ♥

Went to town with Vaneh for some shopping! We both haven't shopped in like ages so we had a lot of things to see. Hehe. She got me another present at Sephora! Hehehe. A MAC eyeliner brush. Hehehe. I tried it out and it's really good! I can line my eyes in like half the time! Hehehehe. #happygirl92

But really time flies~
Thankful for everyone and everything that happened through these years. God has really provided and seen me through everything. I'm really thankful for godly parents and grandparents who have brought me up well ^^ In July, I'll be sure to work hard and be a good teacher to the future generations of the world. Hehehe. How dramatic.

토요일Tunes #3 아직도 난

Kpop. Shuffle. Play.
iTunes shuffle chose this song! 아직도 난 (Still You) by Super Junior's Donghae and Eunhyuk!

I remembered listening to this song much later after it was released. I'm not the most punctual fangirl out there. It usually takes me days or weeks even to check something out. Even if it's like songs by my favourite groups like Super Junior, EXO and SHINee. But anyhow, when I heard this song, I loved it! It's one of those love at first listen songs. There ain't many of those kind of songs for me. This song was also the background song for my blog for many many weeks.

I loved how this MV was filmed in London. And these two guys with matching scarfs looking so classy walking down the street. I like the vintage and yet modern feel of this video. It doesn't really feel like a tourism video although they do make use of the architecture, buildings and some of the classic London scenes. And even using this fancy car that Donghae drives off in. I thought the video was planned carefully. I liked the dual screen viewing and then at the end they merge into one when Eunhyuk and Donghae meet.

The lyrics of the song are surprisingly sad. Here are the translated lyrics. It's about not being able to forget a past relationship and that it's still you.

Being the laggy fangirl that I am, I just found out they performed this song live. Here's a fancam of the performance.

As expected of EunHae, the dance is awesome! I always love how to they look dancing together. I think it was Donghae's solo stage during Super Show 2 that I first saw them dancing together. There's really no other ship like EunHae. Hahaha. Even in Super Show 3 they performed 'I Wanna Love You' together. I think that's when SM decided EunHae would make a successful unit group.

So here's this week's song recommendation~ Till next week~

Korea 2014 ❤

Countdown 41 days to Korea!

I haven't officially talked about my trip yet. So for my graduation-before-work trip, I'll be going to kimchi land Korea!! I'll get to satisfy my fangirl needs before starting work. Hehehe. I'll be going with my sister, Vaneh and Liting! We haven't confirmed out schedule and the places we will be visiting but I'm sure it'll involve much more fangirling than before.

The period when we're in Korea, we'll probably get to catch the musical Singing in the Rain that's staring Kyuhyun and Baekhyun ♥ and probably my sister and I will be going for the Incheon Music Wave if the tickets aren't too expensive. We're planning to go to the usual tourist locations, shopping, some of the cafes and restaurant owned by Korean stars and of course Everland! We're planning a day trip to Busan as well for the seafood!

I'm hoping that this trip would be better since we won't be that tight on budget like I was before. I'm totally excited to shop for makeup!! I wasn't into makeup and beauty products the previous trip in 2012 so I didn't end up buying a lot. But of course with my sister watching me closely, I doubt I'll be spending a lot.

I'm really excited for this trip! The previous trip was fun too but I hope to do more this time! Some photos from my previous trip~

My favourite! Samgyupsal and makchang!

The lovely night view at the Han River~

This time I plan to record my trip with a special hashtag. Although I haven't thought of what hashtag to use yet. Michelle had one when she went to Cebu and Dru had one when she went to Japan. I have a few in mind.

#annyeongfid
#fidinkorea
#fideatskimchi
#fidsheartandseoul
#fidalostseoul

It's hard to come up with a good hashtag ><
