Makeup Haul?

Recently, I got some new additions to my makeup stash ^^

I'm not sure if it's considered enough to be a haul but I'll just label it as that. Hehe.

Obviously, as you can see, my makeup collection has grown greatly. Hehe. I started off with a pouch. Then a box. Now, a big pouch, container and a cup. Hehehe.

Most of my stuff are the original stuff that I had but there are the new stuff I bought.

4 brushes from ELF! ELF is really cheap there! Totally good buys! I got a Kabuki brush, Stipple brush, Small smudge brush and a Crease brush.

Here's the other stuff that I got hehehe.

NYX:
2 matte lip cream in Sydney and Tokyo.
Blush in Peach
Jumbo eye pencils in Strawberry Milk and Cottage Cheese
Round lipstick in Strawberry milk

&

Mac Blacktrack fluid line.

&

ELF:
Concealor stick
Eyelid primer
Glitter liner

& last but definitely not the least...

NAKED palette!!

I'm super happy with my buys! I've started using the Naked palette and some of the lip colours. I'm still working out some looks with the new stuff I've got. I've yet to try the Mac gel liner yet, maybe I'll try it out tomorrow ^^

I'd be happy to share reviews on these products but I don't know where to start...

First day back from Boston

Arrived safely back in Singapore around midnight on Saturday, which is also Sunday morning. Managed to dig out some of my things when I got home just because I was too excited to show my family the stuff I bought.

Slept for a little bit before waking up and going to church! I really miss going to church. It's only overseas that I realize how important church is and that it really makes a difference whether you go to church or not.

My Sunday School kids!

The comment of the day was, "David is so skinny!" Hehehe.

Then we went out for lunch! Local food! Yums! :)

Milk tea and Fried Kway Teow!

Dropped by my grandparents' place to hand out gifts! Even Smoochie got a gift too! Hehehe.

Then went back home and tried to sleep but I couldn't. I'm not sure if it jet lag cos I'm sleeping at the right timings but I'm just feeling tired throughout the whole day and it's weird.

Grandma's food was awesome! But was too hungry to take photos so I've only got a photo of dessert. Hehehe.

Was so tired by the time I got home, I slept almost immediately and slept all the way till 5am and I suddenly felt so awake. Currently feeling sleepy but omma says I better not sleep so I can adjust back. But maybe I'd go catch some zzz later ^^

I packed up my makeup yesterday, shall take photos of my new stuff and do a post on it tomorrow! Hehehe. Meeting up with Michelle tomorrow! Hopefully I won't be too tired or something. Hmm, I always could just get some Starbucks :D

#33 & #34: FiRE + iCE & Rockport!

This is a delayed post of events that happened this week! We went to FiRE + iCE for dinner on Monday night with our interns Liz and Allie. And Rockport on Tuesday!

FiRE + iCE was a restaurant with a really cool concept! It was something like Pepper Lunch but this time there are chefs actually doing the cooking for you. So basically you pick out your ingredients and put it all in a bowl. Then you pick the sauce that you think will go well with the ingredients chosen. Then you bring you bowl and sauce to the middle of the restaurant with this large hot plate! And they'll cook your food for you! You'd have to wait for your turn though, and you have to wait for quite some time. Maybe even more time than you actually take to finish one plate of food.

It was a really cool experience and the food wasn't bad! It was pretty interesting mixing and matching different kinds of food. Hehehe.

On Tuesday, we took a train to Rockport! It was outside of Boston and it was so much fun! It took us about an hour to get there but I think the journey was totally worth it! We ate, sat by the beach and went swimming in the sea. It was fun! Hehehe.

This was our lunch that costed like around 50 USD? Super cheap right? 3 lobsters~

Seagull! People were feeding them so they actually flew by quite closely.

The beach when there was low tide. It's a pretty beach ^^

When the tide came in! The tide came in really quickly and we had to move to the other side of the beach cos the water came up all the way to the rocks and we didn't have anywhere to sit.

Finally have this picture of the Canadian Geese by the Muddy River! Took this on the way back from class on Wednesday.

Going to miss seeing these honk honks everywhere!
And avoiding their poop.

#29: Boston Children's Museum

Had quite a lazy morning today. Didn't want to get up for class at all. I wanted to sleep in and then wake to do assignments but I guess it isn't such a good idea to skip class.

After class, we had Japanese food for lunch! :)

It tastes really good and I think it's much cheaper than Japanese food from Singapore. Hehehe. Yums.

We spent the afternoon and evening in the Boston Children's Museum. It was a pretty long walk there but the weather wasn't warm and the wind was blowing strong ><

The firetruck we saw on the way! Hehehe.

The pretty river view! Hehehe.

The Boston Children's Museum was pretty fun but we didn't play very long with many of the exhibits. There were a lot of families and children there as the entrance fare on Fridays cost a dollar from 5pm to 9pm. Pretty awesome right?

My makeup parcels arrived yesterday! Hehe. NYX!
Aren't those lip colours pretty? ^^

Had dinner with Heather and Jingyi~ I'm learning a little bit of cooking from them. They're really good at it!

**This post is a day late because the internet was down last night**

#27: Blue hills

Went out for a hike today! Up blue hills! It was pretty tiring and there were many mosquitoes!

Other than that, it was a great experience and I really learned a lot from the trip. And I can actually claim I've hiked up a hill. Haha.

Here are some photos from today!

A stream.

The view from the top of the observatory! It's so pretty!

That's us posing in the cloud viewing mirror. Hehehe.

Chipmunks! They're free roaming chipmunks!

And quack quacks too! Hehe. These quacks aren't afraid of people.

A fun shot of our interns Liz and Allie at the bottom of the observatory!

Apparently somewhere amongst that fog, you can see Boston! I think if you stare properly you can make out some skyscrapers.

We came back to shower and rest before heading out for a movie! Hehe. We watched Despicable Me 2! It was so funny! I laughed throughout the movie hehehe but that's pretty predictable of me.

Here's my favourite scene. Well one of my favourite scenes.

They're just so funny! I laugh every time I hear their voices hehehehe.

After the movie, we went out for dinner! We had steak! It was really good and yummy steak. Lycia and I had like 2 steaks. We actually ordered it medium well. But it came kind of well done so we told the waitress and she told the manager and they gave us another one! It tasted so much better with some red meat because it was so hard before it was difficult to chew and swallow.

The main purpose of our dinner was actually to celebrate Weifang's birthday! Yay! And it was a success because she totally didn't expect it hehehe. I love giving surprises!

On a side note, we are slowly counting down to leaving Boston. We've been here more than a month! And we are leaving in 9 days! But we haven't exactly like finished submitting assignments and stuff like that so I don't know how much I'll get to enjoy the last week with the assignments to think about too. I'm hoping to do more shopping? Hahaha. Just kidding. I think I'll have a problem trying to fit everything into my luggage already. And I've to make sure it doesn't go over the weight. It probably won't but...

Alright, I better head to bed, climbing the hill made me tired!

Boston #24

It's Sunday again! It's our 4th Sunday here? Time seriously flies while we are here. But it's still not moving fast enough. Can't wait to go home.

Went down to Newbury street with Heather, Jang and Shihui. We went into this awesome party shop with like pretty balloons and party stuff! I spotted these pretty blue balloons and almost bought a few because it's an ELF thing to do! Lol. Collection of blue balloons and light sticks.

Then we headed down to Newbury and as usual, I didn't take many photos of the surroundings or anything as I'm too busy walking. But I managed to stop and take a picture of this shop front decorated with sewing machines. It's really pretty! And probably really expensive to design since those are antique sewing machines.

Went into this Alice in wonderland themed shop. My sister would have totally freaked to be there. Lol. I didn't find it amusing at all though.

Final stop, F21. Sigh, I wanted this pretty dress.

But it's like out of sizes on the website and in the store! The Newbury F21 has only 2 pieces left and in the sizes L :'(
Even if I insisted on getting it I probably can't pull of size L. I might be able to wear M and hide the excess cloth but L is really too big already. Sobs. Sent this photo to omma so she could try to find it in Singapore and buy it for me. I've been thinking about this dress for too long. Should have gotten it when I first saw it. Love at first sight man.

It's Monday again tomorrow. 3rd childcare visit and science class in the afternoon. Busy week ahead but also the last week of classes ^^

Day 22 and 23

Didn't really do much these two days.

Had classes from 9am to 5pm yesterday. It's getting crazy warm these few days so when we go out to collect data at the muddy river, we get tan and sweaty and tired. I'm hoping the weather will be okay on Wednesday when we go to climb the blue hill.

We headed out for dinner and I had Macs! Hehe. I can never get enough of it.

We went out for more shopping again today. Got myself a new wallet pouch that can keep my phone. I'm so happy! Cos my Coach phone case (it was on offer at Wrentham) has scratches :/ I really like my phone case though.

These few days, I've been missing home and also missing church. I've realized that there's no other church that's like your own church. Listened to a message from YF just now while everyone was out. I felt that the message was indeed a good reminder to me and also relatable. I guess when I don't go to church or listen to messages, I suddenly feel the urge to listen to messages and learn more about God.

The message was on Psalms 63 and David was in the wilderness when he wrote that psalm. I feel that I am somewhat in the wilderness as well, being so far away from home. Indeed God has seen me through this time thus far. David was able to cling to God because his relationship with God was good. During this trip I realized that there's still so much I don't know about and how much I'm lacking in. I fail to trust God and lean on Him at times when I'm back home and when I'm here, I realize the need to lean and depend on Him.

I'm really looking forward to going back home and seeing everyone again ^^

It's been a great experience here but nothing beats home. I'm glad though that we get this experience. I'm glad that I've gotten to know more people from my class and gotten closer to my group of friends that have been taking care of me. I feel that they've been taking care of me more than I've been taking care of them. I'm really thankful for this group of friends ♥

Day 21: 4th of July!

This is going to be a boring post with no pictures or photos whatsoever. Haha. I shall just talk about my day but I didn't manage to take any photos today though I usually would have taken some to blog.

Woke up late this morning because it's a public holiday ^^ I think I woke up around 1130am? Hung around the dorm to finish up some homework before heading out around 2pm? I can't remember the exact time. We kind of planned to leave around noon but somehow ended up going out around 2pm.

We arrived at Cambridge Galleria Mall around 3pm and went shopping! Hehe. Went to Sephora, Payless and CVS today. Hehehe. Happy with what I've bought today and don't regret a single cent spent. Maybe not yet. Got myself the Naked palette because I already have the Naked 2 palette, I felt I needed the first one to make it complete. Hehe.

Came back to the dorms and I did some online shopping because the sales today are really good. I don't understand how it can be so good! Why don't we have sales like when it's national day back home? :/

We left the dorms around 910pm to try to see the fireworks around the area but I guess we didn't know the exact location so we ended up on somewhat a wild goose chase. But I guess I should have stayed back in the dorms because somehow the darkness around made me feel scared. It just feels weird being in a different environment, plus the darkness, made me feel super insecure.

So that basically sums up how I've spent the Independence Day holiday. Class starts again tomorrow. Full day of classes, 9am to 5pm. Hope I'll have energy to last through the day.

I'll need caffeine.

Day 20: Prudential and Newbury

Had a pretty easy going day today. Science class in the morning and we went out to the muddy river to collect samples for the data. It was pretty fun! Somehow it feels different doing science now than back in the days when we had to take science. It's pretty interesting but also somewhat like a new challenge because we have to record all our data into our science notebook, and that's graded, like 35% for this course :/

After class, we had lunch at Sweet Cheeks! The food wasn't too bad! But as always, it's expensive and salty.

After that we headed down to Prudential. Unfortunately, it wasn't a very nice mall since the stuff are quite expensive and branded.

Some photos I took today on our walk to the mall.

Before Prudential, we went into the public library at Copley. It was pretty cool visiting a library! Somehow the library had the same feeling as back home. The children books collection was really something! I think the libraries back home have pretty decent children books collections as well.

After Prudential, we headed to Newbury and ended up shopping at Forever 21. I got two tops for Franna. Hopefully she can wear them! It's hard to shop for something without measurements.

Once we got back to the dorm, I cooked dinner. Yes, me. Hee. Well it's no big deal since I used pre-mixed sauce and pasta was easy to cook. But I guess it didn't taste so bad, so it was not bad. Hehe.

It's Independence Day tomorrow! Hopefully there'll be sales at the malls. Hehe. I'm thinking of like buying more stuff tomorrow. But I have to be careful about weight and luggage space!

Keep Calm and Listen to KPOP: KPOP Alarm Tones

Have you ever thought about what KPOP song you could use to set as an alarm tone? Well I've always had that debate to decide what song I should use, and so here's a list of some KPOP songs that I think are suitable for alarm tones.

Day 18: First Science Class

Had our first science lesson with Ellen today. I'm quite excited about it actually! I can't really say much right now because we've only had one lesson! But I guess I can say that I think environmental science is pretty interesting now.

We'll be going out to more centers tomorrow and then go out to the muddy river for class ^^

We had tasty burgers for dinner just now! It surprisingly wasn't too bad! But of course eating out here is expensive so we seldom eat out unless we want to try something.

Shall take more photos tomorrow so I can blog about it. Seems like all the photos I take are for blogging and instagram purposes. Hahaha.

Day 17: Shopaholic meets Wheelock girls

Wheelock girls went to Wrentham today! We hired a bus and 39 of us went together! It was seriously a hardcore shopping day! But it was good~ Ended up spending 500 bucks all in one day!

Our first stop was Coach! And after that, I didn't have time to take photographs as I was too focused on shopping!

Here's our buys by about 430pm. Everyone was staring at us as they walked past thinking that these are all the things we got but it's collective of 5 of our things. So actually it isn't that bad. I think. Hehe.

These are my things! I ended up getting 2 bags from Kate Spade, a wallet, 2 Coach wristlets, a shirt from Ralph Lauren, a pair of Converse sneakers, a top from Aeropostale, some hair accessories, some cooking stuff, etc. I think it has been a quite fruitful shopping trip! Hehehe.

Shall end this short post here because I seemed to have strained my arm from carrying bags or something. It hurts so bad I can barely move it. I should head to bed now.

First environmental lesson tomorrow, hope it'll be fine.
