Jukebox #79 Monster ♥︎

So I haven't been writing Jukebox posts in awhile. Many apologies. Shall try to get back on track with these posts.

Without further ado, this week we have EXO's Monster.

For some reason I like this song! I mean it's high unlikely that I wouldn't like an EXO song right. Initially when I heard Lucky One, I had the feeling I might not like Monster since I didn't really fancy that song. However, when I heard Monster, I immediately liked it.

It should be considered rare as I'm more of a ballad person but some songs do slip through the gap, like Monster. I'm not sure what genre this song belongs to, electronic dance music? Or just dance music? Anyhow, it's just energetic and not something I would usually listen to. Nonetheless, it'll probably be good for studying or waking up.

When I first saw the concept photos, it reminded me on SHINee. I think they had a similar concept when the nose rings and stuff like that. Now that I think about it, this song does have a SHINee feel to it too. Wouldn't be a surprise since they're in the same company and SM is quite the trend leader in terms of style, concept, etc.

Just saw a few days ago that the repackaged album will be released soon. Wonder what kind of song and concept they'll be showing us next!

Do take a listen to Monster and stay tuned for more Jukebox song reviews in the weeks to come!

Jukebox #63 Dream ♥︎

It's the weekend and you know what that means! Another song review!

This week we have Dream by Baekhyun and Suzy.

I thought it would be a popular song however it lost to the other song option with 15% of 40 votes. Then again, it would be the perfect choice for the Valentine's Day weekend!

So if you search up the lyrics, it's quite a love song with a hint of a some relationship. I'm not sure if that's the best way to describe it but it does give of that feeling. A little bittersweet? Haha. If you do check the MV out, I think the expressions Baekhyun and Suzy has kind of reflect that kind of emotions as well.

I'm not sure how they decided to do a collaboration like that. SM and JYP. It's pretty interesting considering how well the song performed, I would think they might try something like that again in future. Well, if they make money, anything is possible right?

Honestly, when I first heard the song, I loved it already. Firstly, this is totally my style of music, just listening to the intro itself was good enough for me to conclude that I liked this song. Secondly, it's Baekhyun! Totally not biased here but I really like listening to his voice, almost as much as I like listening to Kyuhyun's voice. Lastly, Suzy's vocals really sounds good with Baekhyun's. Although I must add that it's quite obvious Suzy is taller than Baekhyun. Haha. He gets the high chair while she gets the short stool.

Hope you do take the time to check this song out! It's really a pretty good calm song to listen on any occasion ☺ definitely highly recommended. Do check back next weekend for another song review!

Jukebox #57 Sing For You ♥︎

MERRY CHRISTMAS

It's probably way past Christmas by the time this gets published but there's 12 days of Christmas right? Haha. Convincing myself that this post isn't late. For this song review, a total of 57 people took part in the poll I posted on Twitter. And 12% voted for this song, making it the least popular song among the options. The other song has been popular for two weeks, so I'll review it next week, making it the last Jukebox song review for 2015.

For this week's song review, we have EXO's Sing For You from Sing For You - Winter Special Album, 2015.

I really love this song! It's another of those love on first listen kinda song. I totally shrieked when Chanyeol sang and then when Sehun sang it was like totally amazing! I guess every time EXO sings a slow song like this I get so impressed by their vocals I can't help but love the song ♥

I especially like the chorus. I think it really showcases the vocals of the singing line; Baekhyun, Jongdae, Kyungsoo. It's sung three times throughout the song and so each of the members has a turn to shine. However for this song, I think Kyungsoo's voice suit the part best, not that I dislike Jongdae and Baekhyun's voices. They have stronger vocals.

Initially I thought it was a sad song but it turns out to be somewhat comforting as well. If I'm not wrong the song is about a guy confessing his love through singing a song as he isn't brave enough to do so otherwise. So it may seem sad that this guy doesn't have the courage but he's ultimately brave enough to sing a song. Heh ☺

And EXO being EXO, they'll always release a Chinese version of the song as well. Nope, I'm not complaining.

That's all I have for this week's song review! If you've been following the polls on Twitter, you would know what song I'll reviewing next weekend! ☺
Do check out last week's song review here!

Jukebox #35 Love Me Right ♥︎

Writing this post a little late as I couldn't decide which song to blog about. I usually decide which song to blog about during the week. There were 2 songs I was debating over but I decided to go with this one anyway.

So this week, we have EXO's Love Me Right up for review!

I don't think anyone could possibly dislike this song! Just the first time listening to it and I fell in love with it. In fact, just the intro was enough to conclude that I like this song! I don't know if it was the dance or the melody or the beat but it was just totally awesome!

I have to say though, the 2 white borders at the top and the bottom of the video kind of bothers me. It just made the whole viewing portion seem so small. I noticed it in SHINee's View as well. I feel as though the screen has been reduced and I get to see less of the handsome faces and cool dance moves. Hopefully they won't have this white border for future videos.

What makes this song look good is also the dance. I can't deny that EXO are awesome dancers. Even those that aren't so good at dancing, they look good doing the dances (with the exception of maybe the Wolf dance that looks a little more like a musical). I think I really like the dances for Overdose, Call me baby and Love me right. The choreography is really good. And also maybe Kai is just able to make every dance look good.

Recently I watched them on YHY's Sketchbook and Growl with the live band was really cool. Shall just include a clip of that as extras since this post is on EXO anyways. I shall end of with that video.

Enjoy the performance and have a good week ahead!

Jukebox #32 My Answer ♥︎

After an extended hiatus, I'm back with a new song to recommend!

With the whole blog makeover, I've been thinking what kind of name should I give these song recommendation posts. I just stuck with something simple so that people wouldn't get confused. (If there's even anyone reading these posts though I'm sure there are some.)

This week's song we have EXO's My Answer from their 2nd album Exodus!

(I know I shouldn't be recommending so many EXO or Super Junior songs as it's not being objective since they are my favourite groups, but I couldn't get this song out of my head.)

The first time listening to this song, I immediately fell in love with it! I'm slowly realising I do have a style of songs that I like. I shall elaborate more later on in this post.

I think another reason why I like this song so much isn't just because of the melody. The vocals play an important part, to me. If the song has a nice melody, nice lyrics but the vocals aren't that good, I don't think I'll like the song very much. That's why I usually check out the live performances after listening to the track. For EXO, I've been impressed with their vocals since hearing them live. The vocal line, of course.

Although, I like Baekhyun's voice and Jongdae's vocals are pretty impressive too, I'd have to say I like Kyungsoo's sound the most. His voice is just so... Rounded. So soothing and his runs are really impressive too.

With regards to my music style. I like both ballads and sometimes even crazy loud and fast songs. So initially I thought I didn't have a particular style or genre of music that I liked. But I've been liking fast songs that have a strong beat or slow songs that have a nice melody and good vocals. It's not possible to classify it in any genre but it's a preference nonetheless.

That's all for this week's jukebox post! Hope to get back into the swing of posting things here! Stay tuned and come back for next week's jukebox post!

Drama Discussion: EXO Next Door ♥︎

I'm sure most of the EXO-Ls out there would have watched EXO Next Door?

It took me awhile before I started watching this. I think I started watching when there were 12 episodes. It didn't take me long to catch up since each episode was around 10 to 15 minutes.

Honestly, I'm not really sure where to start this review from as this isn't the usual Korean drama. I'll still try to review it the usual way.

The Characters.

So obviously, as the title states, it's EXO Next Door... The main characters will definitely have to be EXO. Initially, I was wondering how this would work out because EXO has so many members! Then I find out that Chanyeol would be the main lead and Kyungsoo the second male lead. I've seen Kyungsoo acting in It's Okay It's Love so I wasn't really looking forward to seeing him act. I was looking forward to Chanyeol's acting.

Since the EXO members are playing themselves, I don't really have much to comment. I don't know them real life so I have nothing to compare with. Then again, I'm sure they don't live like that in reality so I don't think how they acted their characters are actually how they really are as well.

The female lead, Ji Yeonhee played by Moon Gayoung, is a fangirl of EXO. I guess they needed to exaggerate her actions as there were additional computer graphics to make it look funnier. But her character wasn't developed very well other than the fact that her cheeks turned super red whenever she was embarrassed.  (Difficult sorting my thoughts for this review >.<)

Baekhyun, Sehun and Suho also had bigger roles in this drama. I don't know why but only Chanyeol, Kyungsoo, Baekhyun and Sehun were staying in the house. Baekhyun and Sehun were pretty impressive. It didn't feel like they were acting! I mean compared to Chanyeol, Chanyeol seemed so awkward! And we all already know Kyungsoo can act. I shall not dwell further into Chanyeol's acting. I feel like I could write another entire post on that. Thankfully, it got better as the drama went on.

(Note: All views are my personal views, stated objectively.)

The Plot.

Hmm... Where do I begin? Hahaha. Every episode seemed like a new beginning! I guess with the short duration for each episode, they can't cover that much. There was a flow but viewers were still left to wonder at some points. I felt that every scene was just touch and go, it wasn't as detailed or developed like a normal drama would have been like.

Anyway, it was basically about this fangirl living next door to EXO. And this girl had some sort of past friendship with Chanyeol. But she doesn't remember him. At the same time, Kyungsoo falls for her. Standard Korean drama love triangle. All. So. Predictable.

There were also like funny parts of this drama, like Sehun's relationship with the Yeonhee's brother. I'm not sure what to think of it but it's so absurd it's actually funny. So basically, how this friendship ties in with the plot is that Sehun finds out information from this brother. It plays a major role in the reconciliation of the Yeonhee and Chanyeol.

The Ending.

Well, it was somewhat an expected ending. An open ended ending. Let me summarise: EXO left for tour. EXO moved back. The end.

I mean like the relationship between Yeonhee and Chanyeol wasn't clear at all. It was a 썸 (some) relationship as Koreans would call it. I think they (SM) would prefer it this way so nobody (fans?) would get hurt or angered in the process. But I think the main reason is the short episodes too.

That's all I've to say about this drama! I think the best way to describe this drama would be well, a badly written fanfic. Not that I didn't enjoy watching this drama. Who wouldn't love seeing handsome faces right? It's just that there were many things lacking. But I guess since the main aim of the drama was to promote EXO and the LINE application, I think it met its purpose!

I've completed watching Ex Girlfriends Club and soon to complete Producer, do check out those reviews coming soon on fidfiefofum.blogspot.com!

Variety Talk: Fluttering India ♥︎

Just last week I've finished watching the final instalment for 두근두근 인도 or Fluttering India. The season only includes 4 episodes but I thought it was pretty insightful and rather interesting in terms of it being a variety program.

This Variety Program featured the Kyu-line! And Suho and Sunggyu. Who knows Suho and Sunggyu might be a part of the Kyu-line after this program. Hehehe.

For those who aren't familiar with the term Kyu-line... It's basically a group that Kyu started with a few Kpop stars that supposedly resembles him. The main Kyu-line consisted of Super Junior's Kyuhyun, DBSK's Changmin, SHINee's Minho and CNBlue's Jonghyun. I think it was mentioned before that they've hung out at Kyuhyun's house and met up for meals.

So Fluttering India was aired on KBS with a total of 4 episodes. The members were supposed to work with a reporter and collect information about India. They needed to find out why Kpop wasn't popular in India and how could they enter the Indian market.

Although it was funny at parts, it was very interesting watching the members going around interviewing people and collecting information. They were really passionate about this report and for a moment they didn't seem like just Kpop stars but they were doing something well, other than dancing and singing. Not only that, viewers got to see India and learn about the Indian culture without actually being there. So actually this variety show had some sort of documentary show element to it as well. Well, since it was a KBS program, they might also be trying to promote a KBS reporters' job.

Their aim was to get on the KBS 9PM news, which I suppose is the most watched news. However, they made it on the KBS 7AM news which I thought it was quite a waste but also good since they did manage to get their story out there.

Those are the good parts about this program. However, I did read some bad things about this program, I'm not sure how true they are but it sounds pretty real to me...

As the program's main focus is for the members to find out why Kpop isn't popular in India and how they can come into the Indian market, it was rumoured that the Kpop fans that went to the airport were told not to approach, come near or take photos of the Kpop stars at the airport. These Kpop fans followed the words of the filming crew and staff because the fans were told if they didn't follow the rules, the staff would cancel the show. So the fans silently watched from a distance as the Kpop stars arrived at the airport and left, disappointed that there were no fans to welcome them.

It does make sense to me because if any evidence of fans were shown, then the entire show wouldn't have a purpose and their topic wouldn't stand. I'm sure there are fans in India (that even bothered to travel to the airport) but not as many as other countries. I think the production crew didn't want to change the script and they didn't want to film any parts again in order to retain the authenticity of emotions.

On the whole, I still enjoyed watching all 4 episodes of this program though it was sad that Changmin didn't get to come along. Hopefully, there'll be another season to this and we'll get to see Changmin and Kyuhyun interact. I'm curious! And I'm sure you are too. Hehehe.

Daehanminguk 2014 Day 6: Experience Outside the SM Building ♥

Hey guys! Finally back with another post from my Korea Travel series!

I think I should be changing the titles to some of the previous blog posts I've written so do stay tuned for that. I've been blogging daily posts of my trip to Korea in June 2014, so if you're interested to find out what we did and where we went, do check those posts out!

So this is a continuation post from the Korea Day 6 post. I last mentioned that we arrived at the SM Building! We stayed there for roughly around 2 hours or so! I would say it was a pretty good day since we got to see so many SM artistes entering and leaving the building!

So basically we saw everyone on the list from Eunhyuk down to Shindong. It was totally worth it waiting outside the SM Building, if you ask me! I'll include a photo spam at the end of this post.

It was quite interesting how we came about to waiting around for such a long time. There was already a crowd outside the SM Building but it's nobody actually knows who's going to come or go. Everyone was just waiting aimlessly in hopes of seeing one of their favourite artistes.

I think one of the first few we saw was Eunhyuk. He left the building. After awhile we recognised a pattern. The cars that were coming to pick someone or dropping someone would park in a certain way. They parked a little crooked so that it would prevent fans from just rushing forward. So as soon as we saw a car turning in and parking at an angle, we would immediately get our phones ready and eyes peeled wide open to see who was it.

I can't remember much of the details since we didn't really do anything interesting except stand and wait around but of course, I definitely remember the moments where we saw the artistes.

Our sighting of Kangin was actually quite epic. I think we were just waiting around, I mean that's what we were doing the whole time. Then suddenly the security guy started shuffling people around, clearing the path for a car to turn in. It wasn't the usual car, it was a jeep actually. So, we were quite expectant. We were asking each other who's going to come out. So, finally someone did come out. It was quite funny because all 4 of us shouted, "KANGIN", at the same time! It was so loud that he turned around and looked at us. Hehehe. He's very handsome in real life. Seriously, so good looking!

I was really glad we got to see Kyuhyun twice. Actually thrice, counting the time after the musical 'Singing in the rain'. I wasn't expecting to see him as he still had his musical but seriously it was so coincidental that the day we were there, he didn't have any night performance. He came before the sun set and he left around 9 plus, just before we left. Hehe so glad to have seen him twice! I think at that time they were preparing for the 7th album and maybe he was preparing for his solo album as well. Hehehe I ♥ Kyu.

Donghae was really a cutie! At first we thought he had already left but I guess everyone saw wrongly. He came out and he was super friendly. He was waving to everyone and when he got into the car, he used his phone to wave to us while he was making a phone call. We couldn't see his face through the tinted glass but we saw his phone. Such a cutie!

Getting to see Chen was quite an experience as well! I don't remember what time we saw him but it was before the sunset. Yes, we stayed until the sun set. Hmm, how long did we actually stand outside the building! All of a sudden it feels like we were outside for longer than I can remember >< Anyway! Chen was leaving the building so before the car pulled up, the glass door opened and the fans standing in the front saw Chen waiting to leave the building. But because there were cars already parked in that small waiting space, Chen's car had to stop at the back and that meant Chen had to walk slightly further, giving us more time to see him. Hehe. Chen was really handsome in person! I think the other members have ranked Chen almost at the bottom when it comes to looks but really, he's super good looking in person, though somewhat short.

Every time we were thinking about leaving, some car would turn in and we would get all excited and wait a little while longer. I think that was the case for TaeTiSeo. We were already planning to leave then all of a sudden the crowd would stir and that would lead us to say, "Okay, let's stay for a little while longer". This time, it was TaeTiSeo leaving the building! So I guess it was pretty worth it staying a little while longer. What surprised us was that they're actually not very tall, the power of makeup and lighting. Tiffany and Taeyeon were actually quite petite but of course, they looked good in person just like all the other SM artistes.

That's all I can remember from that day. I think it was quite an interesting experience being able to see all the SM artistes. It's like the ideal Korea experience most fans would wish for so I'm glad that we had the chance to experience it!

Alright! The part you've been waiting for! Photo spam! The photos should be arranged in order of appearance or disappearance. Lol. Enjoy~

Drama Discussion: It's Okay, It's Love ♥

괜찮아, 사랑이야 It's Okay, It's Love

This post has been in my draft folder for like the longest time and I think I finished watching this drama quite some time ago as well. But recently my drama watching technique has been quite strange. Hahaha. I would chiong (local slang for rushing) as much as I can and if I can't wait, I would end up reading the recaps. Then, if it seems interesting enough, I would continue watch from where I left off or skip the boring episodes and continue from wherever I like. Haha.

Nonetheless, it's counted as I've watched the whole drama! And since "It's Okay, It's Love" is pretty recent, I did manage to watch quite a bit of the show as compared to those already completed dramas that I would be blogging about soon.

I started watching this drama, well, because of Kyungsoo of course. Hahaha. It's his acting debut and I would usually watch like the first few episodes to decided whether I really liked the drama or not. I guess you probably can tell whether I liked the drama or not. If I don't like a drama, I wouldn't watch it even if I liked the actor ><

So, moving on...

The characters.

The show opens by introducing the male lead, Jang Jaeyeol (Jo Insung) and it gives us a brief look at his character and his background. He is a writer and also a DJ. So basically Jaeyeol's character is pretty complicated and there'll be more being revealed about him and his family background throughout the show. I won't reveal it here just in case there are people interested in watching the drama.

The female lead, Ji Haesoo (Gong Hyojin) is a psychiatrist and at the start she doesn't get along well with Jaeyeol but you guys probably already can guess what would happen between the two. Haha. Typical of Korean dramas. She, too, has some sort of background story that would be revealed. I think her background story isn't as significant compare to Jaeyeol's. His story is really like the main gist of the drama.

I think Han Kangwoo (DO) has quite an important role in the drama as well. You'll find up what's up with this guy when you start watching the drama. I do think his role kind of ties the whole drama together and it makes the drama special, in that sense. For those who have already watched the drama, you'll probably understand what I'm talking about. Hehehe.

The plot.

I guess it's probably obvious if I were to say it's a complicated drama. Haha. Of course, the title doesn't make it sound like it's complicated and maybe some sort of the usual love story, romance kind of drama but in actual fact, it's far from that. It's quite an unusual story line actually. I think that's what drew most people to watching and following this drama closely.

Sure, there's romance. But there's also the totally complicating and grown up side to the whole drama. From the start, viewers would get thrown into the crazy world of psychology and all the mental issues.

I thought that it was good though. Instead of the usual Korean dramas, this was pretty unusual. We also got to see like the struggles patients faced and get exposed to all these issues around us. It's very real! Especially since psychological issues like these are becoming more and more common everywhere. So I thought that a drama exploring such issues, it's pretty fresh.

The ending.

Of course, they all lived happily ever after! Don't worry, that's all I'll say for those who want to watch the drama. I mean the drama takes viewers on quite a emotional roller coaster so nothing but a happy ending would suffice. I'm pretty satisfied with how it ended compared to other popular dramas that were good throughout but disappointed viewers with a lousy ending. So I definitely recommend this drama if you love a happy ending!

Catch this drama soon if you haven't already watched it and let me know your thoughts too!

Jukebox #15 3.6.5 ♥

Weekend. Shuffle. Play.

Trying to regularly blog song recommendations. Otherwise I might really have nothing to blog about. Haha.

Let's get right into it since my introductions are always pretty much the same ><

This week's song is EXO's 3.6.5! At first iTunes shuffle chose A Pink's Nonono but I vaguely remember blogging about it sometime before so I pressed shuffle again and 3.6.5 was chosen! Hehehe.

I honestly like the Korean version more. No particular reason why but I always had the feeling that these songs were written originally in Korean and then translated into Chinese. So sometimes I feel that the Korean lyrics flow better. But of course, I do listen to both versions and dislike neither. And there are some songs that sound good in Chinese too, like Into your world and Miracles of december.

There are similarities to the lyrics of both versions. First, it's a happy and cheerful song. Second, I think the idea behind the lyrics is rather similar. It's about not giving up! Supporting someone for 365 days? That's why I gather from the translations.

I don't just like the lively vibes from the song but also the cute dance!

Actually it's just the chorus that has some kind of choreography but nonetheless it's totally adorable! It was awesome watching this live during TLP SG. It was super adorable! I don't really know how to describe their movements but whatever they're doing it's cute. Hehehe.

Sadly, that video brought back memories... OT12... Kris and Luhan ㅠㅠ It's very different without them in the group. I think I've written and shared my thoughts about Kris's departure but I'm thinking whether I should write another post like that about Luhan's departure. I actually really like Luhan and it's sad seeing how all of this unfolds. Mehhh.

Anyway, enough negativity! Hope this week's song recommendation was interesting! Stay tuned for next week's one!

Caught in a Sticky Situation ♥

It's been 3 weeks since the EXO concert here. Time definitely does fly! How I wish I could prolong the time we had at the EXO concert and hoping that they would return again soon with cheaper ticket prices! Hahaha. Of course we know that's not possible.

Anyway! Back to the topic of this post! Recently I bought some EXO stickers! I found out about them from when we were going around gathering fan banners and other items before the EXO concert. There were a few people sitting outside the stadium giving out stickers. I got a Suho one and it was really adorable!

On the sticker, in small print was the username of the person who did this fan art. So I tagged the artist on Instagram and eventually came to find out these cute stickers were on sale on Carousell. So I decided to purchase them!
The prices go like this:
1 for $1 with minimum 3 pieces
12 for $6
(Taken from hellopoppimeshi on the app Carousell)
I decided to order a total of 12 stickers for myself, my sister, Vaneh and Leho. The artist replied promptly so we confirmed the deal rather quickly. And within a week, I received my stickers!

Left out some stickers as I gave them to my sister already. I got 12 stickers but not one of each member, there were a few repeats.

The artist was so sweet to even include a little bookmark with a short message!

I usually don't buy things online or even buy fan made goods but these stickers were too cute and the artist was really friendly!

So if you're interested in getting EXO stickers to decorate anything, you can check these stickers out! The artist has many other Kpop fan art designs on her Carousell page so you might be interested in that too!

I'm really pleased and will definitely consider purchasing more stickers from her again soon! And I decided to write this as I was really happy with the customer service and the stickers, of course. Hehehehe. So, do check these out!

EXO The Lost Planet Experience ♥

Welcome to EXO Planet!

23rd August 2014. EXO's first solo concert came to Singapore!
Days before the concert, I was already excited and was already totally looking forward to it! Thanks to Vaneh, we managed to get pretty good tickets with good queue which would allow us to enter the pit earlier. Of course, we were quite sure that once the concert began, our standing positions wouldn't really matter. Haha.

I'll be writing about what happened on the concert day and will try to write in proper English and not in whatever spazzing fangirl language I sometimes use >< Hahahaha. No keyboard smashes, promise.

Before the concert

We decided to meet for lunch since this time round there were queue numbers so we didn't need to queue overnight or anything like that. I thought it was a good idea as it prevents like all the unnecessary waiting around and prevents arguments and fights. Just like every other concert, fan sites would release information of where to get those fan project banners and items before the concert starts. So our plan was to have lunch and then collect all these various banners.

Some photos we took when we were still looking fresh and alive.

Some of the banners we collected.

Wefie!

The official EXO Planet trailer. Apparently these trailers can be shipped or something.

On the overhead bridge waiting for LT. Look at the people everywhere ><

It totally didn't help that the weather was so hot and humid. It looked like it was going to rain but thankfully it didn't.

Notice the police car in the photo above. Yes, there were a few police cars around probably to control the crowd that were gathering illegally at some places where people were giving out fan project banners and stuff. Maybe even because people were constantly jay walking when there was an overhead bridge.

In the queue

The queue for the standing area opened at 4pm. We arrived there and asked the ushers what we were supposed to do. We were told to arrange ourselves according to the queue number on the ticket so that's exactly what we did. We asked the people in the queue what their queue number was and then we were shocked by their response. We got rude stares and they told us they were in that section and we could just sit anywhere. Was there a need to be so secretive about the queue number? Definitely didn't get the memo.

So anyway, we sat and waited and eventually we got arranged according to our queue number.

The queue for Pit A. All of us in the tunnel.

Our position from the front of the queue. We were pretty near the front ^^

It was pretty stuffy since there wasn't much ventilation in the tunnel but so super thankful to the fan bases that handed out fans. They were totally useful ♥ I literally fanned myself continuously for an hour while sitting there. I think my sister and Leho fell asleep.

Around 5.45pm, they closed the queue so whoever came after that would have to queue at the back instead of following the queue number on the ticket. Though I think on that day, they were being lenient and they let some people into the queue just after the deadline.

Soon after, we proceeded onto bag checks, then ticket checks and we were let into the Standing Pit. We were in Pit A which was on the left side facing the stage or stage right. Anyone reading this and were also in Pit A, holla!

Photo of us in the pit still looking rather alive and... dry...

We had pretty good location! If you can see, we were part of the second row behind the barricade and right in front of camera number 1! It was about 6.15pm when we found out spots and we practically just stood there waiting for the concert to begin at 7.30pm. The people holding seat tickets started filling the stadium only around 7pm.

I thought they let us in too early. Usually for the past concerts, the seat tickets holders would be let in first followed by the standing tickets. So once the standing pits were filled, they wouldn't have to stand and wait so long before the concert began.

Hmm maybe the Korean side wanted to take the time to find the lucky fan to go on stage with EXO. Yes, she was from our pit. She was pretty near us so we saw how she looked like. Not only that, remember I mentioned the fan that was rude? Yeah, guess who it was. Well well well, sometimes it really doesn't pay to be nice >< Anyhow... all I can say is... she's really young! And well... tiny! I think the Korean security fella from Dream Security Team and some SM fella chose her cos she's small! The security guard from the Singapore side literally lifted her up over the barricade and then put her back. Of course the pit was in a total frenzy after she got chosen. The SM fella just asked her, "你会讲华语吗?" or "Can you speak Chinese?" and that how she was chosen. I thought EXO would be asking her some really difficult questions but they just asked her 2 simple questions that required a word answer each.

Moving on! The concert began rather on time, surprisingly!

During the concert

Just as the sponsors video started rolling, the whole stadium already exploded with cheers and shouts! When they turned off the lights, that was when the super loud cheering began. It continued until EXO showed up on stage.

I'll just briefly talk about the experience before uploading the photos we took. So bear with the word diarrhoea before the photo spam :)

Sadly, I don't remember most of the songs that they performed cos I was totally focusing on their faces and how handsome they are in person! I mean I've seen Jongdae before when we were waiting outside the SM building back in June (I'll be writing what happened in the series of posts on Korea) and he was super duper handsome! Minseok was totally handsome as well! It's like I cannot even remember anything other than their handsome faces! I was shouting like, "Ahhhhh so handsome!" or "Ahhhhh so sexayyyyy!!!" like most of the time. Needless to say, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Suho and Luhan were like... I've no words to explain how good they looked. Where do SM find their people, seriously.

Anyway, by the 3rd song, Vaneh, LT and my sister weren't standing next to Leho and I anymore. We still maintained our second row spot behind the barricade. But people kept pushing and they kept squishing us that I gave my spot up and moved to the middle where Vaneh, LT and my sister were chilling. We still could see them closely and it was slightly better as people weren't pressed up against me and I could see more members at once. Plus, I could even feel the aircon! So, the pit isn't that a bad place to be!

We could easily go to all the different corners whenever an EXO member walked cos we were in the middle. I didn't need to be like super close to them, I just needed to see them, that was good enough for me. I mean being squashed into the barricade and being so close to the members isn't all that worth it since EXO probably won't remember your face anyway. Being able to see more of their handsomeness sounded like a better deal to me. Plus, it wasn't that bad since Luhan waved in my direction and he immediately jumped to the top of my nonexistent bias list ♥

What was kind of annoying was how strict the security was. They didn't allow us to take photos or videos even if we used our phones! The security personnel were even roaming our pit catching people who were taking photos >< But of course, there were some sneaky fansite noonas in our pit. They managed to escape the security by I don't know, ninja-ing themselves around the pit with their humongous cameras with humongous lenses. Mad skills, really. But I wouldn't say they're the nicest. They really just run and shove you however they like.

The boys, though they were still somewhat awkward with fans, maybe they don't know how they should interact with fans in the pits yet but nonetheless they tried speaking in English like most of the time! Tao's English was really adorable. He said something like, "I like English. English is important but no time." And Joonmyeon wanted to show us his patience haha which of course he meant, passion. But he was really good at the start! Using words like beautiful and wonderful and ending with "this is my limit". Hehehe. Totally dorky but such a cutie. Baekhyun obviously was trolling as usual. When the translator translated what they said, he would respond with something like, "Okay" or "Thanks". Always such a troll. It was nice to hear the Chinese members speak in Chinese. I really like how smoothly they speak it. Hehehe.

I can't really remember anything else about the concert other than the AWESOME DANCING, AWESOME SINGING, AWESOMELY HANDSOME FACES!!! So I'll just get on with the photo spam!

Disclaimer: None of us are fansite masters and we probably can't be one anyway >< You'll see why. Enjoy~

Now you know why we can't be fansite masters >< LOL

After the concert

My arms and legs were aching. My ears were ringing and my throat dry. I think my ears didn't stop ringing till like the day after. I don't know if they were ringing from the loud music or from people screaming into my ears ><

They showed one last VCR like behind the scenes while preparing for the concert. We thought it was to stall for time to allow EXO to pack and leave safely. But of course as people cleared the stadium, it was another selfie time!

That's us! Looking rather sticky and cui.

One last shot of the stage.

We didn't hesitate leaving the pit and walking rather quickly out of the stadium. I don't know if we avoided the people jam but it was good unlike SMTOWN where it took us like 30 mins till we finally got to leave the venue.

Appa picked us up and hehe clever me texted him to get drinks before everyone swarmed over. Hehehe. Leho came over to our house for a sleepover and of course we couldn't help playing with the really cool finger lights!

Ta-da! Jongdae, Kyungsoo, Sehun & Minseok on the wall.

Hehehe behind the scenes of the above shot! Leho had to adjust all the 4 finger lights properly before we could get a good shot.

What my friends had to say about the concert

Leho: Daebak
Vaneh: The whole night felt like I flung myself off a building only to climb back up and fling myself off it again.
Jo: It was definitely worth the time and cash.

On the whole, I can only describe the concert briefly. It felt like a dream and I just woke up from it. It's Tuesday now and it still feels like so surreal. Like yesterday, I felt like I was going to work after I just came back from a holiday.

I hope that at the next EXO concert, if they were to come here again, they would have more interaction and fan interaction. It wouldn't kill to see more waves and smiles! Hehehe.

I think it'll take me quite some time to get over all these EXO feels. Hehehehe.

Overdosed.

xoxo, Fid♥
